Improve Your Vision Through Relaxation

Are you tired of wearing glasses? Wiping rain from them? Pushing them back up your nose when you're perspiring? The truth is, you can improve your vision using natural methods and see without glasses.

Your eyes work hard and they need time to recover from the constant strain you put on them. The muscles around your eyes are no different from any other muscles in that regard. They need rest and it's up to you to see they get it.

Do you know that you can cure poor eyesight just by changing bad habits? It's true. In this age of computers, smart phones and ebooks, we are extremely hard on our eyes. If you take to the time to practice specialized relaxation exercises, you can improve your vision to the point of not needing glasses. You can improve your vision naturally even if you have worn glasses for years or are prone to eye problems and eye disease.

Strain and stress are the primary causes of poor eyesight. Do you know you were born with relatively good eyesight? All through your school years you were forced into bad habits that caused your eyes to strain too much. You sat in a classroom all day, continuously staring at a chalk board, books, or paper all day and that left your eyes tired and stressed. There just wasn't enough time between classes or subjects to let your eyes relax and give them a few moments of rest. These habits carried over to your adult life and now you do the same thing at work day all day long.

Your body gives out signals when you need rest. When you spend too much time doing chores around the house, your backs starts to hurt and your arms get tired. You just want to sit down and take a rest, put your feet up. Similarly, your eyes tell you when they need a rest, too. You might develop a headache, your eyes start to burn or water, or you might develop a twitch in one or both eyes. This is your eyes telling you they need a rest.

There are various exercises you can do that specifically relax the eyes and improve vision. An example of these is called "sunning." Face the sun, eyes closed. Very important: EYES CLOSED. Allow the warmth of the sun to penetrate deeply into your eyes and forehead. Slowly turn your head from side to side. Keep breathing. Feel the position of the sun. The warmth of the sun will help to relax the muscles around the eyes and allow them to operate naturally.

Another way to relax the eyes while working on the computer or reading is to occasionally look at something far away. Just take a few minutes to look out the window and across the street. If there is no window, look across the room as far as possible. Even closing your eyes and visualizing distant objects can help to relax the eyes. The important thing to remember is that poor vision doesn't happen all by itself.
